Abstract
A report based on the doctoral dissertation is devoted to the study of the properties of magnetic nanostructures with new types of interaction between the spin subsystem of the materials and optical radiation. Novel magneto-optical properties appear due to the excitation of optical resonances of surface and waveguide modes. This approach opens up new possibilities for efficient and local interaction of photons and spins, which is extremely important, in particular, for ultrafast control of magnetic order. Due to the excitation of optical resonances of surface and waveguide modes, new magneto-optical effects arise that are absent in smooth magnetic crystals and films.
